URBAN LEGEND - The Best TI Album

After selling only 160,000+ albums with his debut album "I'm Serious,", TI came back in 2003 with this verse on Bone Crusher's "Never Scared." Classic verse.



Violating his probation over a 2003 drug charge, he returned from jail to make Urban Legend. In my opinion this was the most polished effort from Clif. You've got producers that he started out with KHAO (where is that guy?), DJ Toomp, Sanchez, and The Neptunes. Features from Trick Daddy, B.G.(where is this guy?), & Daz Dillenger lending verses to create an album that sounds rough yet finely tuned. Songs like, "Chilling wit my bitch" , "Motivation" , "Freak Though", "Praying for Help", and "Limelight" make Urban Legend a perennial album that does not sound dated five years after it's release; Like most artists, their best material is produced after adversity. 


I think more material like this can be created as long as history repeats itself. We'll have to wait until 2010 to see.

The school I wanted to attend since I was younger, Hampton University (I Should've went there), has seen its fair share of talented individuals strive for Higher Education. Chris "Deeper" Henderson ("Happily Ever After", "Black Roses", and "Blame It"), a producer and song writer, has been gaining momentum as of late but has gone under the radar of many until recently.

Enter Blake Kelly/@rockstarbk.

Although I  heard co-signs from @justintinsley and @mositos_way , I still slept. Damn near 3000 downloads on the mixtape in 24 hours. I still slept. After swinging through the mixtape release party briefly last night, I got to hear a couple of songs live. While not an official performance, the songs he did still ROCKED. They had a drummer + a dj which was pretty dope.

Ride the wave & don't sleep like I did. This mixtape goes hard & definitely gets the SYN approval.
